The child care center currently under construction at the Trinity Woods intergenerational community on Mount Mary University's campus will be managed by Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Center (WDLC), which is a child care provider that has served the area for 47 years.

“We are especially excited for the intergenerational interactions that our kids will have with both the sisters and Mount Mary students,” Wauwatosa Day Care co-owner Mary Beth Krause said in a press release from Mount Mary University. “This really is a building of our community.”

The university community and the public can have access to the new center, which will serve children from six weeks old to 11 years old. There will be play areas and separated spaces for different aged children.

"Trinity Woods is an intergenerational housing community at Mount Mary University formed by the three-way partnership between Mount Mary University, the School Sisters of Notre Dame and Milwaukee Catholic Home," the university said in the press release. "Benefits include transportation to local schools, flexible scheduling from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a summer program. The Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)."
