Good Shepherd issued the following announcement.
Baker’s Basket for India
This basket was donated for our fish fry and it’s simply sitting in the office. The donor of the basket wishes to now use it as a gift to Father Raj for his 25th Jubilee, by offering the basket for a special Mother’s Day drawing. Basket includes stainless steel bowl, rolling pin, whisks, spatulas, mixing spoon, cooking spray, pancake mix, syrup, cookie dough mix, cupcake liners, cake mix and sprinkles.
Here’s how this will work: Cost is $1 per ticket. Place your money in a white envelope marked “Basket for India.” Put your name and phone number on the outside of the envelope. Mail it to the parish office or drop your envelope in the basket in the center aisle of the church. Tickets will be made out at the office for you. We will run this special from now until Fri., May 8th.
This is one way we can show our appreciation to Father Raj on his anniversary. Your donations toward the basket will be given to Father Raj, who in turn will mail the money to his home diocese in India.
(Note: Father Raj is not involved in this idea in any way to raise money for his home diocese. Rather, it would be a gift from the parish, in honor of his 25th.)
