Kevin Kenkel and Katie O’Connor used a livestream so 224 guests more than social distancing rules allowed could attend their wedding at Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Ten people were in attendance at the church, and the rest of their family and friends watched on Facebook.

Close friends watched the stream in their cars in the parking lot.

“We postponed our reception but we still wanted to get married today,” O’Connor said.

Their rehearsal also had to be cancelled, and they held it in their living rooms instead, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The two met at a Milwaukee Brewer’s game after college and bonded over their mutual love of baseball.

“We were supposed to go to opening day this week to start off our wedding weekend,” Kenkel said. “Unfortunately that got postponed, too.”

“If we can get through this we can get through anything,” O’Connor said.

The couple had to get creative to celebrate their special day and managed to have fun doing it. Although the weather was rainy, they still smiled.
