GOOD SHEPHERD: Good Shepherd Update on Covid-19

People

Press release submission Mar 28, 2020

Covid19

Good Shepherd issued the following announcement on March 26.

We continue to offer Adoration Tuesdays through Saturdays from Noon until 3 pm. The 3 pm conclusion of Adoration includes the prayers of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Litany of Trust (published in our March 29th bulletin).

Although it is important that we limit attendance at Adoration to under 10 (with 6’ of space between people), for those unable to come, we ask that you join in your homes at 3 pm, if possible, in the Divine Mercy prayers.

This will bring unity to all the people of our parish! Adoration is also offered 9 am until Noon on Sundays, with the same restrictions. Suspension of the Holy Week and Triduum Services in the Diocese is taking place.

Bishop Powers invites all the faithful to virtually join him for the celebration of the Triduum from the Cathedral of Christ the King. Listed below are the dates and times of the liturgies being LIVESTREAMED: Live-stream will be done at https://www.facebook.com/CathedralOfChristTheKing/

Also, the website www.catholicdos.org homepage currently has a listing of livestreamed Masses at parishes with access to Cathedral’s facebook page.

HOLY THURSDAY: April 9, Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00 pm;

GOOD FRIDAY: April 10, Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 12:30 pm;

HOLY SATURDAY: April 11, The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night at 8:30 pm;

EASTER SUNDAY: April 12, The Resurrection of the Lord at 8:30 am. At this time, parishes are being asked to suspend First Communion and Confirmation

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE from Bishop Powers.
