The annual Share-A-Pair initiative hosted by Stan’s Fit For Your Feet aims to bring warm, quality footwear to people in the community who are in need.

Donations of gently used or new shoes, boots and sneakers are accepted for all sizes, including men, women and children. Donations of new socks are also accepted.

Stan’s Fit For Your Feet is owned by the Sajdak family and they consider the footwear drive to be a tribute to their Catholic faith. The family are parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

“Just giving back to our community is an important part of our faith and our family. Loving one another, sharing with our community and giving back where we can through donations, service, talents and volunteering is important, and this is a way we can do that within our business,” said Megan Sajdak Holtan, director of marketing for Stan’s said in an interview with the Catholic Herald.

Shoes collected this year will be distributed through the Sojourner Family Peace Center, Hope House of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Repairers of the Breach homeless day shelter and Father Gene’s HELP center.

The drive has brought in more than 275,000 pairs of shoes. The goal this year is to collect 25,000 pairs of shoes.

Donations are accepted from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:30 to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays at any of the Share-A-Pair bins located at any of the Stan’s and New Balance Milwaukee locations. Anyone that donates will receive $10 off their next regular-price men’s or women’s shoes purchase.
