Event SMART Goals:
Specific –We will provide spiritual growth and training to help men, particularlythose who have already attended a Men Of The Cross event to grow as disciplesand renew themselves, their vocation, families and parishes.
Measurable – The attendance goal for this retreat is 75. We seek to have 90% agree that theretreat will help them be better husbands/fathers/MEN OF GOD. We also seek to have 60% of those who attendto be actively involved at the parish level – especially in the development ofmen’s ministry. An evaluation will beused at the end of the retreat and a follow-up survey will be sent in April.
Achievable – Based on the post-conference survey from the2019 Men Of The Cross Conference, menreport that they are hungry for God and to be challenged in their faith. Based on the attendance of 340 for the Men ofthe Cross conference in October, the goals are modest. In addition to the spiritual renewal of theretreat parish-based men’s ministry resources will be offered to all men forfree.
Relevant – This is consistent with the ongoing Diocesanefforts of evangelization and discipleship and the Bishop’s new directive for amore intentional parish focus.
Time Bound – Those attending the retreat will receive theimmediate benefit of spiritual renewal and within the following three months weplan to observe increased levels of involvement at the parish level.
