The Wisconsin Right to Life (RTL) Political Action Committee (PAC) is urging residents to become informed and prepare for the upcoming primary election, which will occur on Aug. 9.
"The fall primary is in less than two weeks, and early voting is officially underway," the group posted on Facebook. "Do you have your voting plan in place? Check out myvote.wi.gov to find your polling place, make sure you're registered to vote, and see who's on your ballot."
Wisconsin RTL endorsed Rebecca Kleefisch and Tim Michels for governor and Roger Roth, Patrick Testin, and David Varnam for lieutenant governor, according to the group's website.
For attorney general, Wisconsin RTL endorsed Adam Jarchow and Eric Toney. Amy Loudenbeck and Jay Schroeder secured the organization's endorsement for secretary of state.
Wisconsin RTL endorsed incumbent congressmen Bryan Steil (District 1), Glenn Grothman (District 6), and Mike Gallagher (District 8), while also supporting challenger Derrick Van Orden in District 3.
Voters who oppose abortion, including many Catholics, were encouraged to follow the guidance of the Wisconsin RTL PAC.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) describes participating in political life as a moral obligation on its website. The Church encourages the faithful to be active citizens who use their votes to help shape a world that defends human life and promotes peace.
Right to Life is a pro-life organization dedicated to defending the lives of "the most defenseless members of our society" through education and legislation, according to the national group's website. The national federation is composed of more than 3,000 local chapters and 50 statewide affiliates.
