The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has begun scheduling a lecture series to celebrate Black Catholic History Month. The celebration honors the occasion, which was declared in 1990 by the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus of the United States.
The teaching activity, presented and led by the Black Catholic and Ethnic Ministries Office, began Nov. 6. Although free of charge, the weekly events require a reservation.
“All are welcome,” the archdiocese says through a Facebook post.

Future sessions are scheduled Nov. 13 and Nov. 20, all focusing on a different topic. The Nov. 13 topic will be “Plenty Good Room" and the Nov. 20 subject is “Uncommon Faithfulness,” the Archdiocese of Milwaukee reports.
Each event will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the St. Francis of Assisi Church Hall in Milwaukee following strict COVID-19 protocols. A continental breakfast will be offered.
