The Archdiocese of Milwaukee is extending an invitation to the public for the Arise Worship Night at St. Alphonsus in Greendale on Dec. 3.
“Meet Christ in a powerful way through the sacraments and intimate prayer at Arise Milwaukee’s latest Arise Worship Night,” the group said in a Facebook post. “Live worship music by the Scally Brothers, special message by Pete Burds from the office of evangelization, eucharistic adoration and confession celebrated by priests from throughout the archdiocese. God is waiting for you.”
The free event is slated to kick off at 7 p.m.
Arise Milwaukee partners with numerous parishes associated with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, with its goal to bring “dynamic, engaging and Christ-centered encounters to the parish," according to Arisemke.org. "Our hope to provide parishioners with an opportunity to meet Christ in a powerful way through the sacraments and intimate prayer.”
Burds, the director of evangelization and catechesis for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, has used his storytelling ability to “proclaim the freedom found in Christ.”
“Pete is a wanna-be philosopher, has a mild obsession with the band Switchfoot, and, because of Christ, finds himself living a life greater than he could have dreamed,” the website said.
