HOLY SPIRIT PARISH: Virtual Harvest Tree

Announcements

Holy Spirit Parish recently issued the following announcement.

Pillars and its housing services have never been more important than they are now, and they are here to provide support to the most vulnerable members of our community.

Holy Spirit Parish is a great supporter of Pillars, delivering and serving a meal for 50-60 people at the Adult and Family Shelter on the third Friday of every month. We have been doing this for many years, and we rely on the support of our generous parishioners.

Each year, a Harvest Tree is put in the back of church and grocery gift cards are collected for this effort. The gift cards and money collected are used for a portion of the meals served at Pillars, for meals at COTS, and for other “food for the hungry” ministries right here in our parish community.

This year, due to the pandemic, we cannot place trees in the back of church for parishioners to “pick a leaf” and “leave a gift.”

We are reaching out to you in a “virtual” way to ask for a small ($5, $10, or $20) donation of cash or for a gift card to a local grocer (Roundy’s, Festival, Walmart, Haen Meat) for this year’s Virtual Harvest Tree.

All donations can be put in the lockbox at the Parish Center, or the donation lockboxes in churches. Simply mark your donation “Harvest Tree.”
