St. Boniface Catholic Church was invited to take the Disciple Maker Index Survey before the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Fr. Mike Petrie said in the church bulletin

"The survey was part of a nationwide pilot study to help dioceses learn how to better match priests to parishes," Petrie said in the bulletin. "One hundred and twenty or 16% of those who celebrate Eucharist weekly took part in the survey. Most surveyors find that a 33% response rate is a more accurate measure of the greater community."

In the survey, questions were asked on discipleship and how the parish and pastor is helping along in the journey. The majority of parishioners that took the survey (79%) said they believe St. Boniface helps them grow spiritually and 85% would recommend the parish to others.

"The greater majority of respondents celebrate the Eucharist weekly and pray daily," Petrie said in the bulletin. "An analysis of all results indicated some areas for growth – mostly around adult formation and tools for witnessing to the gospel."
