St John Kanty Parish recently issued the following announcement.
Hope Arising - September 18
Experience the Holy Spirit in a brand new way! On Friday, September 18th at 7:00pm, Arise Milwaukee is hosting Hope Arising: A Night of Adoration and Worship. Hope Arising is an outdoor praise and worship event held in Brookfield at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, in the Gerlach/Haack Outdoor Theater. This outdoor venue gives worshipers the opportunity to Adore Jesus in the Eucharist in a safe way – outdoors, socially distanced, but prayerful! Music from Paul Vogrinc and the Arise Worship Band will enhance the experience. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to spread out on the lawn. Water is allowed, please no carry-ins. Face masks will be optional. This event will happen rain or shine. In the event of poor weather, the event will be moved indoors with social distancing protocols in place and masks will then be required. See more information at arisemke.org/hope-arising.

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Milwaukee
St. Vincent de Paul Society of Milwaukee remains a pillar of strength for Milwaukee neighbors in need during this uncertain time. Now, more than ever, the Society relies on support from community partners and friends to ensure services remain strong. There are numerous opportunities for you to help SVDP Milwaukee help others during this time, such as:
Contact the St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) members in your parish or a neighboring parish that has a St. Vincent de Paul group (referred to as a “conference”). They truly are the hands and feet of Christ as they make calls to neighbors in need and offer assistance to alleviate some of the hardship to obtain basic necessities. Ask how you can help them, offer your prayers and find out more about how your SVDP conferences are making a difference in your local community.
Thank you for your support and prayers. For more information contact Rebecca Surges, Director of Development & Communications, Email: rsurges@svdpmilw.org or Phone: (262) 751-8103.
