St Bronislava Parish recently issued the following announcement.
Dear Parishioners,
The week of September 28th St. Bronislava will kick of our second season of Alpha. Alpha is an 11 week course and weekend retreat focused on the big questions of life and faith. Each session involves food (unless you’re attending online) a presentation, and small group discussion. Everyone is free to share what’s on their mind and ask questions in a safe and welcoming environment. For those who participate in the sessions and retreat, Alpha becomes an opportunity to encounter Jesus in a transformative way. It is also a great way to meet some new people and make some lasting friendships!
Alpha is for everyone, whether you’re a life-long, committed Catholic, someone who has grown distant from Christ and his Church, or just someone with lots of questions. For some, Alpha renews and strengthens their faith. Others come to faith for the first time. For many people, Alpha is a life-changing experience. As your pastor, I hope that you’d consider attending Alpha this Fall.
We will be offering three opportunities to attend Alpha. In-person sessions will be held on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm beginning September 28th and on Friday mornings at 9:00 am beginning October 2nd. In-person sessions will be held in the Mary Room, with social distancing. Face coverings are required – except when you’re eating and drinking of course! We will also offer Alpha online on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm beginning September 29th. These online sessions will held in conjunction with Holy Spirit Parish.
You can register for Alpha by visiting our parish website, or by calling us at 715-344-4326. If your someone who could use a jumpstart in the faith journey, encourage them to try Alpha. Better yet, offer to attend with them – it might just be the best and most important gift you could ever give them!
I want to take the opportunity to thank our Bingo Committee for the $12,000.00 they recently provided to us. We appreciate their hard work and dedication on behalf of our parish family! Thanks also to the Knights of Columbus who run Bingo concessions and work the floor, and to the ladies of the PCCW who made desserts last year.
Because of the current pandemic restrictions, we will not be resuming Bingo at this time. Like our festival and other fundraisers, the loss of revenue from these sources is a problem. That’s why we are really counting on our parishioners to pull together to make our Raffle a success. There are still A LOT of raffle tickets to be picked up. Please help us get the word out – our raffle drawing on October 4th is just a few weeks away!
