St. Mary Parish Catholic Church and School in Menomonee Falls shared an announcement in their Aug. 23 bulletin.

“Our parish seminarian, Kevin Harmon, is going back to fall classes and formation at St. Francis de Sales Seminary and will now only be with us on the weekends,” Fr. Andrew Linn and Msgr. Ross Shecterle said in the bulletin.

They asked that parishioners keep Kevin in their prayers as he works on the fall semester and hopefully returns in the spring to be ordained a deacon.

Originally from Lompoc, California, Kevin moved to Fond Du Lac and started pursuing an accounting degree before he decided to turn over his life to God and pursue a life of ministry.

“After meeting with Fr. Luke Strand, he knew that the life of the diocesan priest would give him the opportunity to pour himself out completely in the service of God," Linn and Shecterle said. "He entered St. Francis de Sales Seminary in 2016.”

A writer, Harmon has written an article for the seminary magazine Salt of the Earth and has been interviewed on the podcast Saintly Witnesses.
