In the Aug. 16 bulletin of the Sheboygan North Catholic Parishes in Sheboygan, Fr. Matthew Widder thanked the congregation as he moved on to a new parish.

“Thank you so much for all of your prayers, well wishes, notes of encouragement, and donations to the seminary scholarship fund, which has raised almost $30,000!” he said in a letter published in the bulletin. “I’m humbled by your love and generosity!”

Widder is now ministering at the Catholic Community of Waukesha-St. John Neumann, St. William, St. Joseph and St. Mary; a collaboration of four parishes in Waukesha. He included his new email address and phone number in the bulletin.

“Please know of my prayers, it was an incredible blessing for me to be your pastor,” he said in his farewell to the congregation. "I know God will continue to bless our Sheboygan North Catholic Parishes through Father Mark [Brandl's] leadership."
