Father Eric Sternberg of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells delivered the Summer of Sanity V - Study & Sanity for his parishioners earlier this summer.
Steinberg recapped the first four weeks, noting that he'd previously discussed multiple parables during that time. In the fifth week, he spoke of the Kingdom of Heaven, stating that one must be willing to give up all they have to enter it.
He later addressed those who take issue with keeping the old tradition of the Catholic faith as opposed to updating it to fit new standards.
“You keep the old," Steinberg said in the recording posted on the church's website. "It isn’t a discarding of the old, it is the fulfillment. ... There’s that development of life in Christ, the new and the old."
He referred to Paul, who said it was important to receive the traditions of the church but also to have an understanding of the current reality.
