St Anthony Abbot Parish issued the following announcement on Aug. 9

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew 14:2233

 Do you feel sometimes like God is commanding you to walk on the water? Sometimes the dilemmas we face, the challenges we meet and the uncertainty we live with feel like an ocean of waves. I bounce on the waves, sometimes I just about get to the top of the wave and then another happening is reported and I crash. Like Peter I reach my hand out and call for Jesus to come to the rescue. I am never disappointed as time with Jesus always comforts my soul. I wonder what Jesus thinks as this scenario is repeated so often, is it “oh You of little faith!” Yet Jesus loves us completely with all our doubts, forgives us and rescues us with a powerful love!
