Holy Angels Church in West Bend announced in its Aug. 2 weekly bulletin that the reception of sacraments for youth will be postponed due to COVID-19.

Director of Faith Formation Hannah Bergland made the announcement that the Confirmation was pushed back to Aug. 6 while First Communions are scheduled for Aug. 16 and Aug. 23 at 1 p.m. The events are not open to the public as they are only for the students who will be issued their sacraments, along with their families.

The ceremonies will be streamed live on the church’s official Facebook page

“I am writing to you today to ask you to please pray for all of our students who will be receiving these sacraments,” Bergland wrote in the bulletin. “Please pray also for their parents and families who have worked hard in helping their children prepare. We will have their names printed on the cover of the bulletin in the next few weeks so that you can pray for them by name. I can say that they are wonderful groups of young people and along with the other young people in the parish, I think the Church is in good hands.”
