Marian University in Fond du Lac recently announced that all 22 of its May nursing graduates passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on their first try.
The test is a requirement to become a registered nurse and challenges the knowledge and skills candidates will need for an entry-level nursing position. The results for the Marian graduating class of May 2020 surpassed the state and national average, according to an article on the school website.
Marian University Associate Dean and Chief Nurse Administrator Dr. Kim Udlis credited the success to the professors’ and faculty’s concentrated methods, likening the educational experience to trading in a traditional curriculum to a model that provides a holistic strategy. Marian is also invested in technology that provides simulators for students to practice patient care in various fields from pediatrics and obstetrics to acute care and medical-surgical.
“I couldn’t be more proud of our faculty and our wonderful staff who have worked very hard to ensure that our students can achieve this type of success,” Udlis was quoted in the article. “This is a testament to their dedication and commitment to our students.”
