Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Anthony on the Lake Parish in Pewaukee has been unable to continue its usual practice of sending a shipping container full of donated items to its sister parish in Piura, Peru.

But Santisimo Sacramento's Reverend Jose Guillermo Uhen, known as Padre Joe, shared some other ways in which St. Anthony's parishioners can help their sister parish. Uhen told Maureen Michaels, who oversees St. Anthony's Peru Family to Family program, that financial donations such as work stipends for unemployed members of his church would be most welcome.

Santisimo Sacramento also needs funds for medical supplies and homeless shelters, said Uhen, who listed several other areas of need on page three of St. Anthony's Aug. 2 bulletin.

Donations for the sister parish can be made electronically by visiting the parish website, or checks can be made out to St. Anthony on the Lake and mailed to the parish office at W280N2101 Prospect Ave, Pewaukee, WI 53072, and sent to the attention of Maureen Michaels.
