St. Mary Catholic Community in Appleton, Wisconsin, is looking for someone to lead their new Young Disciples Initiative.

Church leaders have posted the minister position along with the job requirements and description of what they're looking for in a number of different venues, the church bulletin reported. This is the next step in starting the Young Disciples initiative, which was once called the Inter-Parish Religious Formation Program.

The Rev. Bill Swichtenberg, Kathi Ruh and Mary Ann Otto, minister of Missionary Discipleship, plan to hold three Zoom meetings with parents to give them information and hear their opinions as they move forward with the program. The ideas and concerns brought forward by parents will be used in the planning process, the bulletin reported.

Ruh is also putting together a steering committee that will include parents and parishioners who want to take part in putting together the program's logistics.

A registration form for young people to enroll in the program should be ready by the end of July.
