Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee resumed daily public Mass on July 6, Father Lawrence Zurek announced in a Facebook post.
After receiving permission from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, the church scheduled daily morning Masses at 7 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Confessions will be held after Mass.
“The Basilica, however, will remain closed after morning Mass until further notice and there will not be a noon Mass on Wednesdays or adoration, for the time being,” the announcement said.
Also, in another sign of a return to normalcy from the COVID-19 pandemic, the church food pantry reopened on July 1. It will be opened every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for outdoor pickup only, at least for now.
The church asks all visitors to wear masks, line up on the markings, and stay six feet apart. Visits to the pantry are limited to one per month.
