Father Prince Amala Jesuraja said goodbye to the Sacred Heart parish cluster in its July 5 bulletin.
Prince Raja, as he is called, belongs to the Archdiocese of Madurai, Tamil Nadu in Southern India. He was ordained on April 19, 2009. His new assignment will be the Winona-Rochester Diocese.
The Sacred Heart cluster includes the parishes of Sacred Heart in Adams, St. John the Baptist in Johnsburg, St. Peter’s in Rose Creek, and Queen of Peace in Adams.
In his farewell message, Jesuraja included a passage from Matthew 11 28-30.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.”
In the passage Jesus is “inviting is to an intimate relationship with him,” Jesuraja wrote. “Jesus wants us to enter into the same intimacy that exists between him and his Father.”
