Christ the King issued the following announcement.
Effective July 1, 2020, Judy Drechsler will retire after 17 years of faithful service. This opens the secretarial position with the addition of adding finance. Duties and responsibilities include:
▪ Full time salaried positioning requiring 40 hours per week versus the previous 32 hours
▪ Answers incoming calls
▪ Coordinates priest, parish, and community data to publish weekly bulletins
▪ Records and maintains church census, sacramental records, stole fees and files
▪ Creates and publishes ministry schedules
▪ Acting Safe Environment Coordinator for all church personnel
▪ Coordinates Diocesan Annual Appeal with all financial input
▪ Heads all deposits for parish weekly contributions and fund raising
▪ Maintains Payroll and tax records
▪ Reconciles bank accounts, data entry, attend and present monthly numbers at finance meetings, prepare and introduce annual budget, pay monthly and quarterly taxes, attend Diocesan training when applicable.
▪ Pays parish bills
▪ Distributes and prepares agenda’s and minutes to each of the 4 committees, it’s members and pastor
▪ Performs other duties as required by the pastor Qualifications:
▪ Above average knowledge of computer applications; Publisher, Word & Excel
▪ Phone etiquette, copier operation, office management
▪ Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, and reach
▪ Strong sense of Confidentiality The Diocese of La Crosse requires that each employee be fingerprinted and complete and pass a background check prior to hiring.
This position will begin June 1st . With the addition of the finance responsibilities, the Abegglen office will serve as consultants on a needed basis. Please submit resumes to the parish office in care of Fr. Barry Saylor in a sealed envelope by May 1, 2020.
