Friday, March 13 beginning at 3:30 - 24 Hours for the Lord and Penance Service
The Eau Claire Deanery priests will be available to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation for 24 consecutive hours, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 13th and ending on Saturday, March 14th at 3 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. These 24 hours of availability will take the place of communal parish reconciliation services in Lent. Please plan on taking part in this great deanery event to encounter God’s mercy, and spread the word.
Saturday, March 14
3:30 p.m. - Conclusion of 24 Hours for the Lord and Penance Service. Benediction
5 p.m. - Mass (Father Gus will preach on the theme - Lent as the Springtime of the Church)
Sunday, March 15
8:30 a.m. - Mass (Father Gus will preach on the theme - Lent as the Springtime of the Church)
10:30 a.m. - Mass (same as above)
6:30-8 p.m. - Father Klink Hall: Talk on Marriage and Family Life - Lent as the Springtime of the Family Snacks, juice and coffee will be available.

About Father Augustine Tharappel, Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales
Father Augustine Tharappel, msfs, better known as Father Gus, is a Missionary of St. Francis de Sales. He received his theological formation with the Theological Coalition in Washington, D.C., and was ordained a priest at St. Ann's Church, San Antonio, Texas on Dec. 20, 1970. He has a master of divinity from St. Meinrad School of Theology, Indiana; a master of arts in psychology from St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas; and has completed Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). As a priest for 49 years, he has worked in parishes and missions; taught in high schools; worked as professor and spiritual director in seminaries; directed retreats for clergy, religious, and the laity; and founded and directed centers for counseling and spiritual direction. Currently, he is the founder-director of “Wellspring” Fransalian Center for Spirituality in Tyler, Texas. He has given parish missions during Advent.
