The Sheboygan North Catholic Parishes— Holy Name of Jesus, St. Clement and St. Dominic— in Sheboygan, shared a brief note of thanks from their former pastor in the Aug. 23 bulletin.

The Rev. Matthew Widder expressed his gratitude for the encouraging notes, prayers and donations made to the seminary scholarship fund, which raised nearly $30,000.

“I’m humbled by your love and generosity,” Fr. Widder said in the note.

Widder, who has been at the Catholic Community of Waukesha— St. John Neumann, St. William, St. Joseph and St. Mary for a little more than a week, provided his new contact information to his previous parishioners, should anyone want to reach him.

Widder ended the brief note by saying that he was blessed to have been the pastor of the Sheboygan North Catholic Parishes, and that he was confident in God’s continued blessing upon the parishes through their new pastor, Fr. Mark Brandl.
